In partnership with Brighton & Hove Friends of The Earth
An evening where the public could 'speed date' their local councillor candidates, days before the Brighton & Hove local elections and quizz them on their environmental vision for the city.
Local environmental groups who were present were Green Women, Greenpeace, Brighton Peace & Environment Centre (BPEC) & Brighton & Hove Friends of the Earth.
We had a great turn out both from the public and from across party - although a surprising lack of presence from the Conservative candidates. We had a very enthusiastic responce from both the public and the candidates who commented on the benefits of the informal, personal situation in which to actually have a conversation about important issues - a great relief from the usual public meeting format!
A big thank you to all who gave so much time into the organising the event, and to all who donated elements to the evening.
